Speaker Bio
– Jingsong Xu, Ph.D.
Jingsong Xu is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of Growth Vision Asset Management (“GVAM”), an investment advisory firm that focuses on clinical-stage, small to mid-sized public traded biotech companies. The company has historically delivered an annualized IRR of 34.78% over 69 months and also manages separate accounts for high-net worth individuals.
Before GVAM, Jingsong founded BioEssence Consulting, providing investment evaluation for hedge funds and venture capital firms, and worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School as Assistant Professor and Instructor.
Jingsong Xu graduated from Fudan University with a B.S. in Molecular Genetics in 1990, obtained a M.S. in Tumor Cell Biology from Northwestern University Medical School, and later finished his Ph.D. in Developmental Biology at Washington University Medical School.
– Roger Song, MBA
Roger Song is an Equity Research Associate with a well-known investment bank on Wall Street and he covers biopharmaceutical and medical devices industries. Bringing nearly a decade of life science industry experience, he focuses on small and mid-cap biopharmaceutical companies which are in pre-IPO or post-IPO process. Before this, Roger held positions in investment, strategy, consulting, marketing and technology sales in several industry-leading companies. Roger holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and a degree in clinical medicine. He has passed CFA Level 3 exam.
