will be cohosting the Biomedical Pitch Competition in 2022 Spring to connect high-quality early-stage biomedical start-ups with investors and other business accelerator resources.

Judges from other well known funds and incubators such as FreeS VC, Lilly Asia Ventures, Eisai venture investment, Nest Bio, etc will attend the final competition.

All categories of biomedical start-ups are welcome.

-Top three winning startup teams will get $17,000 cash award and $20,000 rental credits from our partnership incubators across multiple cities in the United States and China, including Boston, Bay area, Shanghai, Beijing and more;

All applications are welcome to register before February 28th, 2022. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis starting Jan 2022. We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible to access mentorship services from BCIC and partner organizations.

Initial Pitches: March 2022

The judge committee will start reviewing applications in January 2022, and invite teams for initial pitches. For those applicants who are selected as Semi-finalists are expected to present not just prototypes, but full business plans, and they receive elite mentorship along the way.

The judge committee is composed of well-known researchers, professors, experts, consultants, registered contest judges, and investment experts in the healthcare industry. The organizer and the judges have the right to veto the projects that do not meet the requirements of the competition.

Final Contest: March or April 2022

Finalists will be invited to onsite or online investor pitch. Three teams will be selected and rewarded first, second and third prizes. Teams successfully selected by investors will be receiving further investments.

Startups Requirements:

-Comply with the relevant laws, regulations and policies of China and the United States, and do not infringe on the intellectual property rights and other legal rights of others. Individuals, teams and companies participating in the competition shall be responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of the registration information;

-The ideas or products submitted are innovative and original, and have certain social and market value;

-Under biomedical industry or sub-industries;

-Specify the individual, company or team when registering for the competition;

-There is no nationality restriction on participants. Any entities looking for Chinese-funded or US-funded can participate.
